Dordt Men’s Cross Country Ranked In Coaches Poll

Sioux Center, Iowa — Dordt University holds a spot in this week’s edition of the NAIA Men’s Cross Country Coaches’ top 25 poll released Thursday by the national office.

The Defenders are ranked 13th in the Oct.28 poll, the same spot held in the last three ratings. Dordt is the only team from the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) recognized in this week’s poll.

Dordt earned its second win of the season last weekend, taking first at the Mount Marty Invite in Yankton, S.D. The Defenders turned in a perfect score (15) and placed eight runners in the top 10.

St.Francis (Ill.) moved up two spots and occupies the No.1 slot in ths week’s coaches poll. They totaled 17 first place votes and are followed by Saint Mary (Kan.), Indiana Wesleyan (the previous No.1), Milligan (Tenn.) and Taylor (Ind.).

Dordt will compete in the GPAC Championship on Saturday, Nov.6 in Orange City.
