The Dordt Defender women’s cross country team had three runners earn all-GPAC honors with their finishes at the GPAC Championship Meet held on Sioux Center, Iowa on Saturday, November 9.
The group was led by Olivia Couch (Senior; Colorado Springs, Colorado) with a championship winning time of 18:20. Couch is the fourth Dordt women’s runner to win a GPAC individual title. Sarah Wensink (Senior; Sioux Center, Iowa) earned the honor with a third place finish in 18:44 and Eden Winslow (Sophomore; Culver City, California) claimed sixth place with a time of 19:09.
This is the third time in her career Couch has finished in the top-15 at the GPAC Championship and the second year in a row for Wensink.
Top-15 finishers at the GPAC Championship are considered all-conference.
The Defenders qualified for the NAIA National Championship on Friday, November 22 at Vancouver, Washington with a runner-up finish at the meet and the no. 22 spot in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll.
