Des Moines, Iowa — The Drake football team hopes to finish the home season with a victory when the Bulldogs host St. Thomas of Minnesota.
The Bulldogs are 1-5 and ninth in the Pioneer League football standings despite have the league’s top ranked defense. The culprit is an offense which has averaged just over six points in the last four games and during that stretch Drake has only scored two touchdowns.
That’s Drake coach Todd Stepsis who says it is not a matter of the offense being physically overmatched.
It will be the final home game for a group of seniors that had to deal with the pandemic and now a disappointing season.
Drake is 2-7 overall.
