Iowa is expected to be without leading three point shooter CJ Fredrick for Friday night’s game against 12th ranked Maryland.
Fredrick missed this week’s loss at Nebraska with a foot injury, becoming the third Hawkeye starter to go down.
That’s Iowa coach Fran McCaffery. Fredrick’s injury means Iowa’s thin roster will need to log even more minutes.
Iowa is coming off a game in which it made only four of 33 from three point range.
Iowa’s two-post lineup will go up against a Maryland team that has primarily a four guard lineup.
Maryland coach Mark Turgeon has been happy with his team’s progress. The Terrapins are 13-2 but they are 0-2 on the road.
