Lutmer is earning preseason All-American mentions after finishing last year with three interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. He steps into a role previously held by All-American Kaden Wetjen.
Lutmer says he’s looking forward to contributing on special teams.
After losing a series of close games last season, Lutmer says the Hawkeyes are focused on taking the next step.
Iowa opens the season September 5th, hosting Northern Illinois at Kinnick Stadium.
