Orange City, Iowa — Taylor Meyer of Lake Park has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Northwestern College next fall.
Meyer is a 5’10” outside hitter who recently completed an outstanding four-year career playing for the Harris-Lake Park High School volleyball team. Meyer is a two-time IGCA All-State selection, earning third team honors as a senior. She averaged a team-high 4.1 kills and three digs per set, hitting .255 and ranking among the top 10 within class 1A in kills. Meyer was named all-conference for the fourth straight year, earning first team honors over the last three seasons. Also named to the Worthington Daily Globe All-Area team, Meyer finished as the all-time career leader in kills (1,457), digs (1,140) and ace serves (225). A member of the National Honor Society, Meyer plans to major in elementary education at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Daryl and Shakira.
“Taylor is a great addition to our volleyball program,” said Northwestern head coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. “She has been around the game and has played in several big matches over the course of her career. Taylor will transition to the backrow in our program and we are excited for her contributions both on the court and on our campus.”
