Sheldon, Iowa — The #2 Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley Nighthawks got their first shutout of the season, topping the Orabs 48-0 at Orab Field in Sheldon Friday Night.

The Nighthawks scored on their first possession when Spencer Te Slaa took a 69 yard reception to the end zone and put the Nighthawks up front 7-0 early. BHRV scored two more times in the opening quarter. Elliott Van Kekerix ran untouched from 38 yards out, and Cody Post took a catch and run 67 yards to make it 21-0 heading into the 2nd quarter.
The Nighthawks scored two touchdowns in the 2nd quarter to make it 35-0 heading into the half. Billy Rankin found pay dirt from 12 yards out, and Brayton Van Kekerix took a catch and run 74 yards to the house.
Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley added another 2 scores in the 3rd quarter, and came away with the 48-0 victory.
Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley improves to 6-1 on the year, 3-0 in the district. Sheldon falls to 4-3 on the season, and 1-2 in district play.
The Nighthawks play host to MOC-FV next week in Rock Valley. Sheldon is on the road to Okoboji next Friday.
