State Softball got underway Monday, with games featured across classes throughout the day. State Baseball also opened in Carroll for Class 1A and 2A as well as in Cedar Rapids for Class 3A and 4A.
Area teams beginning softball play include Remsen St. Mary’s in 1A and Hinton in 2A, while West Lyon and Unity Christian open baseball play on Tuesday.
