Two Red Raiders Selected as GPAC Women’s Volleyball Players of the Week

Orange City, Iowa — The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports have named two Northwestern Red Raiders as Volleyball Players of the Week for contests played August 24th through 30th.

Attacker — Stella Winterfeld, Northwestern College (Outside)

Northwestern senior Stella Winterfeld is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker of the Week. The Sioux Center native led the Raiders to a 3-0 weekend against top-15 opponents, totaling 49 kills at 4.45 per set. She hit at a .270 efficiency, including a .371 mark in Thursday’s sweep of Oklahoma Wesleyan. Winterfeld also added 25 digs and two blocks.

Setter — Nyah Potthoff, Northwestern College

Sophomore Nyah Potthoff earns GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter of the Week honors. The Gretna, Nebraska native delivered a career-high 46 assists in Northwestern’s reverse sweep of St. Thomas on Friday and posted 30-plus assists in each of the Raiders’ sweeps on Thursday and Saturday. She averaged 10.09 assists per set and added four service aces.
