Sheldon, Iowa — A traditional rite of spring will be held this Saturday, beginning at 11:00am at K&J Cycle in Sheldon.
The Blue Finger Poker Run is traditionally the first motorcycle ride of the season for area riders. Janet Lohrenz of K&J Cycle tells us about this year’s event.
She tells us how the Blue Finger Poker Run works.
Lohrenz says this is the 34th year for the Blue Finger Poker Run.
She says the annual event takes place rain, or shine…..or even snow.
With Saturday’s forecast calling for a high only reaching the mid-30’s, this year’s Blue Finger Poker Run should certainly live up to its name. Lohrenz had some advice for those who are undecided about taking part in the ride.
Registration for the 34th Annual Blue Finger Poker Run starts at 11:00 Saturday morning at K&J Cycle, on highway 18 west in Sheldon. Cost to register is $5, and Lohrenz says all of the registration fees will be paid out to those with the best poker hands after the ride. In addition, she says there will be door prizes, along with a Grand Prize.
