We just completed our FINAL WEEK for the Hi-Lo contest! Each of the eleven qualifiers, in addition to receiving a $25 gift certificate to an area merchant, will be entered into the drawing for a RAMBO Electric Bike.

2018 KIWA HI/LO GAME – OFFICIAL RULES
Contest runs: Monday, April 16, 2018 – Friday, June 29, 2018
No Purchase Necessary. Must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
KIWA will announce a designated caller Monday – Friday during the 11 weeks of the contest, some time between 6 – 7 am, 9 – 10 am, 12 -1 pm, and 2 – 3 pm.
KIWA will randomly selected one (1) number ranging from 1 to 1961 each week during the contest. Be the correct caller at 712-324-5377 in order to participate.
Contestant’s will be told if their guess is too high or too low. Keep track for of the answers given for better chances! If the correct number is not guessed, the answer will be given at 4:00 pm on Friday and a new number will be selected for the following week.
If the correct answer is given, the contest is over for the week & new one will start the following week. Weekly winners will receive a $25 gift certificate to an area business AND be entered into the Final Drawing for a $2,400.00 Rambo R750 G3 Electric Bike, which will take place on Monday, July 2nd.
KIWA staff and their families are not eligible to play. One winner per household for the duration of the contest.
All decisions by the committee are final. Unless otherwise stated, all other KIWA General Contest Rules apply.
The following rules are applicable to all contests, giveaways and promotions sponsored by radio stations and digital properties operated by Sheldon Broadcasting Co., Inc in Sheldon, Iowa (hereinafter, “KIWA”):
Employees of KIWA and their immediate families are not eligible to participate. “Immediate Family” shall include spouses, parents, children, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren and co-habitating “significant other”. Residents of the same household are also considered “Immediate Family“ whether or not related by blood or marriage.
Employees and their immediate families of other FCC-licensed broadcast stations are not eligible to participate.
In contests involving participating merchants, owners, managers and employees of such merchants and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
No purchase is necessary in order to participate in any KIWA sponsored contest.
Station reserves the right to impose certain eligibility restrictions for specific contests. Such restrictions will be announced on-the-air prior to the implementation of the contest.
Unless otherwise specified, contestants will be permitted to win only once per contest per month. In major contests, station reserves the right to limit winners to one person per immediate family.
Unless otherwise specified, prizes must be claimed in person at the KIWA’s business office within ten business days of winning. Prizes must be picked up during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Failure to claim any prize within this 10 business day period will result in forfeiture of the prize. Winners may be asked to provide proper identification when claiming prizes.
Prizes are not transferable, except in the case of major prizes (over $600), which will be awarded in the name of a parent or guardian if won by a minor.
All prizes are awarded to winners on an “as is” basis. KIWA is not responsible for the condition of the prize itself, nor is the KIWA liable for any damage or injury caused by any prize awarded by the KIWA.
Winners agree to allow KIWA to make use of their name, photograph, likeness and/or audio recording of their voice for advertising and publicity purposes.
Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner. In accordance with IRS regulations, any winner receiving a prize with a value in excess of $600 will be furnished a copy of IRS Form 1099 (Miscellaneous Income). A copy of this form will also be furnished to the IRS.
In the event an announced prize becomes unavailable or the supply becomes exhausted, KIWA reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value and the winner agrees to accept such prize without limitation.
Station is not responsible for circumstances beyond its control (telephone, computer or internet malfunctions, postal delivery delays, etc.), that may affect the outcome of a contest.
In contests involving mail-in entries, multiple entries in one envelope are permitted, however entries that arrive with postage due will not be accepted.
In contests involving written entries, only original hand-written entries will be accepted.
An affidavit of eligibility and/or a release from liability may be required in certain instances. Failure to sign such an affidavit, if requested, may result in forfeiture of the prize(s).
KIWA reserves the right to suspend any contest at anytime, if in its judgment, the contest participants have conducted themselves in an unfair manner or attempted in any way to influence the outcome of the contest.
In the event of a tie, KIWA reserves the right to conduct a tie-breaking contest, with rules and procedures to be determined by the management of KIWA.
KIWA reserves the right to change contest rules and procedures at any time, providing such changes are announced on-the-air prior to their implementation.
All matters not specifically addressed in these rules shall be determined at the sole discretion of the management of KIWA.
In the event of any dispute involving a contest, the decision of KIWA management is final.
