The 2026 Rock Nobles Cattlemen Annual Banquet will be held Saturday, February 7 at the Worthington Event Center in Worthington, Minnesota. KIWA Radio is partnering with Community Blood Bank for the "Heroes Behind the Badges" Blood Drive on Monday, February 16th. Donation times run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as well as 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with parent consent form, found at cbblifeblood.org), weigh 110 pounds or more, and be in good general health. The Walking Stick Program will take place February 21 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Prairie Woods Nature Center. Ron Oostra of Sioux Center will lead this hands‑on workshop, where participants will receive instruction and begin personalizing their walking stick. Participants may bring their own dried stick (no ash, must be dried for two weeks) or choose from those provided. The lesson covers selecting, personalizing, and treating a walking stick. All supplies are included, and the program is open to all ages; those 14 and under must have an adult helper. The class is limited to 12 people.
