Primghar, Iowa – An Algona woman rolled her vehicle near Primghar on Saturday, November 21st.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 7:25 am on Saturday, 57-year-old Marilyn Bernardo was driving a 2005 Ford Escape westbound on 390th Street, west of Van Buren Avenue, east of Primghar. According to the report, the roads were completely frozen snow pack form the snow storm on Friday. 390th Street had not been plowed yet, and the Bernardo lost control of her vehicle, slid to the south ditch and struck a warning sign marker indicating a culvert below the roadway. The Ford then went off the side of the culvert and rolled onto the passengers side and came to rest in the stream below the culvert.
The Escape received $8,000 damage.
