Granville Teen Injured When SUV Rolls

Alton, Iowa — A Granville teen was injured after rolling his SUV near Alton early Saturday morning.

According to Sioux County authorities, the crash happened shortly after 6:30 Saturday morning, two miles east of Alton on Highway 10. Deputies say 16-year old Gustav Espersen, of Granville, was westbound on Highway 10 when he lost control of his 2001 Chevrolet Suburban, entered the south ditch, and rolled the vehicle.

Authorities say Espersen was taken to the Orange City Hospital by Alton Ambulance for treatment of his injuries.

Officials estimate damage to Espersen’s Suburban at about $10-thousand.

Sioux County deputies were assisted at the scene by the Alton Ambulance, Alton Fire Department, and Orange City Police Department.
