Granville Woman Pleads Not Guilty To Felony Child Endangerment Charges

Orange City, Iowa — A Granville woman, who was charged last month with two counts of  child endangerment with serious injury, has entered a not guilty plea to the charges.

20-year-old Christina Fivecoate-Champion is accused of causing injuries on multiple occasions to her then-11-month-old child, causing him to require medical attention. Court records indicate that a medical evaluation performed at Sanford’s Children’s Hospital allegedly revealed a pattern of abuse of the child.

Fivecoate-Champion was arrested on November 14th and charged with two counts of Child Endangerment with Serious Injury, which are Class C Felonies.

According to online court records, she entered a written plea of not guilty to the charges that was filed Thursday (December 16th).

No trial date has been set.
