Hull Man Taken To Hospital After Fiery Boyden Crash

Boyden, Iowa– A Hull man was taken to the hospital after an accident near Boyden on Friday, April 24, 2026.

The Iowa State Patrol reports that at about 10:45 p.m., 26-year-old Tyler Woelber of Hull was driving a 2014 Chevy westbound on Highway 18, Near Jackson Avenue or K64 near Natural Beauty Growers between Boyden and Hull. They tell us that 19-year-old Brandon Breon of Sheldon was eastbound on 18 in a 2004 Freightliner semi owned by Pomrenke Trucking of Ashton.

The report says that Woelber crossed over the centerline. Breon tried to move over to the right to avoid a collison but was unable to do so. The car struck the driver’s side front of the semi. The semi entered the south ditch and started on fire, causing significant damage.

The Sheldon Community Ambulance Team took Woelber to Sanford Sheldon Hospital.

Breon reported no injuries.

Woelber’s Chevy sustained $10,000 in damages, and the semi driven by Breon sustained $100,000 in damages, which was enough to total both vehicles.
