Cedar Rapids, Iowa — Weather delays at Monday’s quarterfinals have shifted the upcoming schedule at Veterans Memorial Stadium for both 3A and 4A teams.
After the opening game started on a two-hour delay, the second 3A quarterfinal between North Polk and Western Dubuque entered a rain delay at 4:25 p.m. The game is paused in the bottom of the first inning with Western Dubuque up 2-0.
It will resume on Tuesday morning, followed by the remaining two 3A quarterfinals, then two 4A quarterfinals. The last two 4A quarterfinals will move to Wednesday.
Tuesday, July 21st – Updated Schedule
- 8:30 a.m. — Western Dubuque 2, North Polk 0 (B1)
- 11 a.m. — #2 Carlisle vs. #7 Assumption
- 1:30 p.m. — #3 Xavier vs. #6 MOC-Floyd Valley
- 4:30 p.m. — #4 Johnston vs. #5 Pleasant Valley
- 7 p.m. — #1 Sioux City, East vs. #8 Iowa City, Liberty
Wednesday, July 22nd – Updated Schedule
- 11 a.m. — #2 Indianola vs. #7 Southeast Polk
- 1:30 p.m. — #3 Waukee vs. #6 Valley
- 4:30 p.m. — Class 3A Semifinal
- 7 p.m. — Class 3A Semifinal
All previously purchased tickets will be honored at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Gates will open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21.
