State Baseball begins Tuesday for Class 2A in Carroll, with area teams meeting immediately as No. 3 West Lyon takes on No. 6 Unity Christian in the first game of the opening round.
Following Monday’s postponements, Class 3A action is also set for Tuesday, with No. 6 MOC-Floyd Valley taking on No. 3 Xavier in the third game of the day at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
State Softball also continues Tuesday at Harlan Rogers Sports Complex, featuring winner’s-bracket and elimination games across all five classes.
With first-round losses, Remsen St. Mary’s in Class 1A and Hinton in Class 2A each face elimination games. Remsen St. Mary’s takes on No. 7 North Butler in the afternoon at Farm Bureau Field, while Hinton faces No. 1 Grand View Christian, who also dropped its opener to No. 8 Cardinal, to begin Class 2A action at Hy-Vee Field.
Semifinal action for Class 1A and 3A baseball is scheduled for Wednesday.
