Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City man was injured in a two vehicle collision in Orange City on Tuesday, July 7th.
The Orange City Police Department reports that just before 1:45 pm on Tuesday, 86-year-old Lawrence Korver of Orange City was driving a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country mini-van northbound on Concord Avenue northeast in Orange City. Seventeen-year-old Cade Fisher, of Alton, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound on 1st Street Northeast, approaching the intersection of Concord and 1st Street.
According to the report, Fisher did not see Korver until it was too late and struck Korver’s van.
According to authorities, Korver was transported by Orange City ambulance to Orange City Area Health Center for treatment of his injuries.
Korver’s van received $10,000 damage. Fisher’s Chevy received $5,000 damage.
Fisher was cited with a charge of failure to yield to vehicle on the right of way.
