Primghar, Iowa– A Paullina teen was taken to the hospital after an accident near Primghar on Thursday, July 27, 2023.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 5:15 p.m., 17-year-old Danielle Waggoner of Paullina was driving a 2004 Cadillac westbound on B40 near Primghar.
The report says that Waggoner told the deputy that the wind blew her off the roadway. She says she over-corrected and lost control. The deputy says that caused the vehicle to skid into the ditch and eventually roll onto its roof.
The Primghar Ambulance took Waggoner to Mercy One-Primghar Hospital.
Waggoner’s Cadillac sustained $5000 in damages, which totaled the vehicle.
Waggoner was charged with failure to maintain control.
