Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man has been arrested on felony drug charges after he allegedly sold meth to someone working with the Sheldon Police Department.
The Sheldon Police arrested 57-year-old Samuel Skogman of Sheldon on Tuesday, according to a criminal complaint filed with the O’Brien County Clerk of Court’s Office.
In his statement, the officer says Skogman was the subject of a controlled transaction by the Sheldon Police in which he agreed to sell methamphetamine for cash.
Skogman was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance — in this case, methamphetamine, a class B felony. He was also charged in connection with a separate, similar transaction. In this case, the charge was a class C felony. If convicted on both counts and ordered to serve the sentences consecutively, Skogman could face up to 35 years in prison.
He faces a preliminary hearing on July 7th.
At last report, he remained in the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar in lieu of bond.
