Sioux Center, Iowa — Four old mobile homes and a grove were damaged in a fire on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, near Sioux Center.

According to Sioux Center Fire Chief David Van Holland, at about 5:10 a.m., the Sioux Center Fire Department was called to the report of a large grove fire at 3710 Elmwood Avenue, six miles west of Sioux Center and two north.

When they got there, the chief says the fire department saw lots of flames with the grove and mobile homes on fire. He says they had help from an excavator and a payloader and their operators.
