Sioux Center, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — Sioux Center Health will celebrate its 75th anniversary next week as the hospital reflects on more than half a century of service to Northwest Iowa.
CEO Cory Nelson lays out what the celebration will entail.
Nelson looks back on the longevity of the hospital.
Nelson says that when they set out to build the new hospital for $50 million, they raised $13 million locally for the project.
While Nelson is pleased to have the donations — and acknowledges that they are necessary — he says the people they serve are what keep the doors open.
Nelson believes that trust is a contributing factor to the organization’s continued success.
Sioux Center Health’s 75th anniversary celebration will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 25th, at the Town Center at Sioux Center Health, with additional at Crown Pointe Estates. Refreshments will be served.
Earlier this year, Nelson said the hospital is looking to expand its surgery center and potentially add more specialty services.
