Sioux Center, Iowa — A Sioux Center man was taken to the hospital after a crash near that town on Wednesday, July 1, 2026
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says that just before 8:00 p.m., 38-year-old Logan Rus of Sioux Center was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Hickory Avenue, a mile east of Sioux Center. We are told Rus experienced a medical event. His pickup entered the west ditch and struck a field driveway.
The Sioux Center Ambulance took Rus to the Sioux Center Hospital.
The Chevrolet pickup sustained approximately $7,000 in damage.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says the Sioux Center Ambulance Squad, Sioux Center Fire Department, and the Sioux Center Police Department assisted them with the response to the crash.
