Orange City, Iowa — Orange City Police arrested two Orange City men on felony charges in separate incidents earlier this week.
According to Sioux County Jail Records, on Wednesday Orange City Police arrested 18-year-old Tzion Michael Macarthur for crimes allegedly committed in February and March of this year. In the February incident, Macarthur is accused of stealing checks from another individual, then forging that individual’s signature on three checks totaling $283.95, according to court records. He reportedly faces a Felony Forgery charge in connection with that incident.
Court records indicate that the March charges of 3rd Degree Burglary and 2nd Degree Theft stem from an incident in which Macarthur is accused of entering an Orange City residence, and allegedly making off with clothing and a diamond ring, with a total value of $7,950. Sioux County Jail records indicate that as of mid-afternoon Friday, Macarthur was being held in the Sioux County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 cash bond.
Also on Wednesday, Orange City Police arrested a 23-year-old Orange City man on charges of 1st Degree Burglary and 4th Degree Criminal Mischief. According to court records, the Burglary charge against Trey Michael Beltman of Orange City stems from an incident that allegedly took place in the early morning hours of Tuesday this week, in which he is accused of entering an occupied Orange City residence, entering the living room of the residence and kicking the home’s resident in the groin. According to court records, the Criminal Mischief charge stems from a related incident in which Beltman is accused of breaking and destroying the windshield of the car owned by the burglary victim. As of mid-afternoon Friday, Beltman remained in the Sioux County Jail, according to the jail’s log, in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond.
