Hartley Man Arrested On Felony, Aggravated Misdemeanor Charges

Hartley, Iowa — A Hartley man was arrested on a pair of criminal charges on Wednesday.

According to court records, 42-year-old Christopher Collins of Hartley is charged with 3rd Degree Burglary after he was allegedly captured on a home video surveillance system taking items of value out of a Hartley home, including cash, jewelry and other various items.  3rd Degree Burglary is a Class D Felony.

In addition, Collins is facing an Aggravated Misdemeanor charge of Unauthorized Use of a Credit Card for allegedly using a stolen credit card to purchase merchandise from Casey’s West in Sheldon.

Collins was taken to the O’Brien County Jail following his arrest by O’Brien County Deputies.
