Remsen Man Charged With Felony Stalking

Orange City, Iowa — A Remsen man has been arrested on a felony stalking charge in connection with an incident that took place Saturday in Orange City.

According to the Orange City Police Department, one of their officers allegedly observed 35-year-old Alfred James Nelson drive past the Orange City residence of a party that had an Order of Protection against Nelson. Police say the person was standing outside the residence when Nelson allegedly drove by, and the protected party reportedly advised officers that Nelson had driven by the residence multiple times within a 30-minute period.

Orange City Police say Nelson was arrested and booked into the Sioux County Jail on charges of Stalking, a Class D Felony, and Violation of a No-Contact Order.
