Sheldon, Iowa — The curtain rises tonight (Thursday, July 6th) on the final production of the 2017 Sheldon High School Summer Theatre season.
The final production of the season is traditionally a musical, and this year is no different. Take The Stage is the final production of the 45th season for Sheldon High School Summer Theatre, but Theatre Director Lissa Johnson says it’s not your normal musical.
Johnson says that, while Take The Stage is a review of musicals of the past 45 years, they didn’t limit themselves to only the musicals SHS Summer Theatre has done over the past 45 years.
She says that, while this production doesn’t feature the largest cast in summer theatre history, it’s still pretty good sized.
Johnson says that the musical review, Take The Stage took a lot of work to pull together.
Performances of Take The Stage will be held Thursday and Friday evenings at 8:00, with no performance Saturday, and will end the season with a 2:00 Sunday matinee performance in the Sheldon High School Auditorium. Tickets for all performances will be available at the door.
