Rock Valley, Iowa — It’s summer. And that means high demand for blood and blood products, and fewer people are donating. But your chance to help remedy that situation is this Wednesday in Rock Valley.
Community Blood Bank Executive Director Ken Versteeg says the bloodmobile is headed for “the Valley.”
He says the need is high.
Versteeg says it’s easier to give blood if you’ve been drinking enough fluids.
Versteeg says people should bring a list of medications they’re on, a list of countries and cities they’ve visited recently, and a valid photo ID when they come to donate.
Again the blood drive at Hegg Health Avera in Rock Valley is this Wednesday, August 5th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information or to schedule your donation, you can visit cbblifeblood.org.
