Rock Valley Man Arrested On Probation Violation

Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Rock Valley man has been arrested on a felony warrant in Lyon County.

According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, their deputies arrested 26-year-old Jesse Mulder of Rock Valley on Saturday morning, December 16th, at approximately 10:45 a.m. They say Mulder was arrested on an active Kossuth County warrant for Probation Violation (a felony) and an active O’Brien County warrant for Theft in the 5th Degree (a simple misdemeanor).

Mulder was transported to the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar with a $300 cash-only bond and was later to be transported to Kossuth County for the felony no-bond warrant.

According to court records, Mulder received a deferred judgment and probation in exchange for his guilty plea to forgery in September of 2016. He had been accused of using someone else’s credit card and fraudulently signing the other person’s name in order to make a purchase of nearly $300 from Algona Marine in October of 2015. Court records say his court account was sent to collections, and in July of this year his probation was revoked and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
