Groundbreaking Scheduled For 54-Unit OC Housing Complex

Orange City, Iowa — Ground will be broken this coming Tuesday on a large multi-family housing complex in Orange City.

The new complex is being built by Eagle Construction of Sioux Falls. Steve Boote owns Eagle Construction, and is an Orange City native. Orange City Development Director Mark Gaul says the additional housing is badly needed, since there are more job openings in Orange City than there are people to fill them.

Gaul says the new housing complex, which will be similar to the one Eagle built in Sheldon, will be huge for Orange City.

He says that, as they did in Sheldon, Eagle Construction bought enough land for future expansion in Orange City.

Gaul says Eagle Construction’s goal is to construct housing in rural Iowa on a large scale.

Groundbreaking for the multi-family housing complex, called Hillcrest Apartments, will be held Tuesday in Orange City.
