Waseca, Minnesota — The Sheldon Marching Orabs were one of three marching bands from our area to compete in the Waseca Marching Classic this past Saturday at Waseca, Minnesota.

The day’s competition began with a Parade Division, and Sheldon High School Band Director Cliff St Clair tells KIWA the Marching Orabs finished 3rd in that competition, among the four schools in Class AA.

St. Clair says the Marching Orabs did much better in the Field Performance, taking 1st place among the four schools in Class A.

In the Class A Field Competition Sheldon took 1st, followed by Sioux Center in 2nd, Spirit Lake in 3rd, and Pipestone, Minnesota in 4th.

St. Clair says the next outing for the Marching Orabs will come this Saturday, September 29th when they take part in Starfest in Sioux City.
