Sheldon, Iowa — Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon has announced plans to dedicate their new Veteran and Military Student Lounge.
NCC officials say they felt that holding the dedication this Friday, November 11th, would be a great way to observe Veteran’s Day. A brief ceremony will begin at 11:45 Friday morning in the lobby of Building D at NCC, with the playing of “Taps” at noon through the NCC campus speaker system.
As part of the Home Base Iowa designation, the college created an area for Veterans, connecting them with the campus and community resources needed to be successful students.
Northwest Iowa Community College invites the public to join them as they dedicate the lounge to the proud military service men and women who serve this great country.
