Orange City, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — Shoppers in Orange City will soon see a familiar name return to the local grocery market.
Hy-Vee announced on Wednesday that its Dollar Fresh Market in Orange City will be converted into a full-service Hy-Vee store.
According to the company, renovations are already underway inside the store and will bring several new features, including a full-service bakery, a full-service meat counter, and the addition of approximately 10,000 new items.
New Hy-Vee signage will also be installed outside the building as part of the transition.
The company says the conversion will also lead to an expanded workforce. The Orange City store plans to hire five additional full-time employees and several more part-time employees.
The store will remain open throughout construction, with renovations expected to be completed by late August.
Dollar Fresh Market stores were launched by Hy-Vee in recent years to serve smaller communities, but the Orange City conversion will bring a more traditional Hy-Vee shopping experience and a significantly expanded product selection to local customers.
