Prairie Heritage Center To Celebrate Bison Saturday For National Bison Day

Sutherland, Iowa — The largest land mammal in North America is being celebrated across the United States this Saturday, and one of the places that are doing the celebrating is the Prairie Heritage Center between Sutherland and Peterson, just north of Highway 10.

O’Brien County Conservation will be hosting a celebration in honor of National Bison Day this Saturday, November 6th. O’Brien County Naturalist Abbie Parker tells us how they will be celebrating the event.

Again, it’s a come-and-go event from 1:00-3:00 p.m at the Prairie Heritage Center.

Parker says National Bison Day will be a fun and educational event for the whole family to honor “these majestic animals.”
