Register Today For Dairy Beef Tour

Northwest Iowa — If you are a beef producer who raises steers from cattle breeds thought of as “dairy” breeds, there’s a chance to network with others who do this and see some of their operations.

You’ll have to act fast, as the deadline to register is this Friday, March 23rd, but Iowa State University Extension Beef Specialist Beth Doran says that farmers and agri-business professionals are invited to a “Dairy Beef Short Course Tour” on Tuesday, March 27th.

She tells us more about the tour.

Doran says that while transportation to Sioux Falls is on your own, the tour will be on buses. Tour buses will depart from the Denny Sanford Premier Center at 8 a.m. and return at 4:30 p.m. The tour is sponsored by the I-29 Moo University.

She says registration is $30 per person, which includes transportation, snacks, and lunch. Registration, which again is due this Friday, March 23, may be made online at iGrow.org or by calling the Sioux County Extension Office at 712-737-4230.
