Senator Feenstra Says Tax Reform Is His Main Priority This Year

Hull, Iowa — The Iowa Legislature convenes for 2018 in less than a week. Legislators have been working on their priorities for several months, and have been collaborating in the off-season.

One northwest Iowa State Senator says his biggest priority, as in years past, will be tax reform. Randy Feenstra says Congress isn’t the only body to take on tax reform. It’s a big state issue as well.

The Iowa Legislature convenes on Monday, January 8th at the Statehouse in Des Moines. They’d like to be wrapped up within 100 days, as that’s when their per-diem expenses stop being paid out. This year that’s Tuesday, April 17th.
