Sheldon, Iowa — What is probably the oldest current Sheldon Chamber annual promotion is again underway.
Every Easter season, the Sheldon Chamber runs their golden egg contest. Sheldon Chamber Director Ashley Nordahl tells us about it.
So, on Tuesday, the egg is worth $475. Nordahl gives us some previous locations for the golden egg in past years.
She says there are two main things to keep in mind. One is that you won’t have to cross private residential property to get to the egg — it will be either on commercial property or public property. The second thing is you can’t call a business to have them read you the clue, and it’s not to be placed on social media. The idea is to get people into local Sheldon businesses to find the clue.
