Sheldon, Iowa — A pair of Sheldon High School musicians have been honored by being accepted into the Northwest Iowa Honors Orchestra.
Violinist Lexie Merley, and clarinetist Madeline Gude were selected following auditions.
Merley, and other string musicians, auditioned by submitting a CD of their audition music that was judged by a panel of orchestra directors. Gude, along with other woodwind, brass and percussion sections of the orchestra were selected during Northwest Iowa Honor Band auditions that were held last month.
The Northwest Iowa Honors Orchestra will rehearse and perform tomorrow (Thursday, January 26th) at the B.J. Haan Auditorium, on the campus of Dordt College in Sioux Center.
