Northwest Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — A Siouxland agency that has helped sexual-assault survivors for more than 15 years is losing state funding in three counties, forcing survivors to seek services elsewhere starting next month.
Centers Against Abuse and Sexual Assault (CAASA) says it has lost nearly $100,000 a year in state funding for Woodbury, Plymouth, and Monona counties.
The loss comes after an appeal to the Iowa Attorney General’s Office was unsuccessful.
