(Sanford Sheldon Medical Center - KIWA Staff Photo)Sheldon, Iowa (KUOO) — A Sanborn woman was injured and faces citations following a single-vehicle rollover crash early Saturday in O’Brien County.
Authorities say 23-year-old Aili Koenig of Sanborn was northbound in the 2900 mile of Pierce Avenue when she swerved to avoid a deer. The vehicle entered the ditch and rolled before coming to rest on its wheels.
Koenig suffered minor injuries and was transported to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities also cited Koenig for driving with a suspended license, operating an unregistered vehicle, and failure to provide proof of insurance.
