State Offering Home Repair Grants For Eligible Homeowners

Northwest Iowa — The State of Iowa is starting a new pilot program to help people whose income was affected by the pandemic — to make repairs to their homes.

Kristin Westerman is a Housing Planner/Grant Administrator for Northwest Iowa Planning and Development in Spencer. She tells us about the program.

The funding comes from the Iowa Finance Authority.

She tells us what to do to apply.

That address again is iowafinance.com/repair. She says the program just started this year, and will accept applications only through March 31st at 4:30 p.m.

She tells us about the type of assistance available.

Again, you can start by going to iowafinance.com/repair. You can also call 888-668-0927 for the Iowa Homeowner Assistance Fund Team.
