On today’s Talk of the Town podcast, our guests are Mark Carlson and Sandi Cox, from Ashton, talking about this Sunday evening’s Community Flag Day Celebration, honoring America’s 250th birthday.

Sunday’s Flag Day festivities begin with a potluck supper at the Ashton VFW Community Center, beginning at 5:00pm. At 6:30, Quilt of Valor will be presented to three veterans, and at 7:00, people will gather on Main Street will gather, displaying American flags for a community photo. Organizers are hoping for at least 250 people to assemble in honor of America’s 250th birthday in 2026. Carlson and Cox emphasized that attendance and participation is not limited to Ashton residents, everyone is invited to take part.
