Sioux City, Iowa – A Northwestern College Red Raider has earned Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Golfer-of-the-Week honors as announced by the GPAC Wednesday, April 30th.
The player named was Axton Miller as the GPAC Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week. Miller, a freshman from Arther, Iowa, won the individual conference title in his freshman season, scoring a 209 (seven under Par) over three rounds (54 holes) at the GPAC Men’s Golf Championships in Beatrice, Nebraska .
He was the lead golfer on a Northwestern team that saw four athletes finish in the top six, winning its second consecutive GPAC team title at the Beatrice Country Club.
