Dordt Men Travel To Mount Marty Saturday

Dordt will travel to face Mount Marty on Saturday, December 19 at 2:00 pm.

Mount Marty is 7-6 overall and 4-4 in the conference and the Lancers stopped a two game losing skid with a 92-74 win at home against Doane on Wednesday night. The Lancers had won four games in a row before dropping two games to Concordia and Dakota Wesleyan.

Jailen Billings scores 14.6 points per game and has made 35 three-point shots. Billings has come off the bench in all 13 games so far this season. Elijah Pappas scores 13.7 points per game with 7.2 rebounds and Chad Moran is good for 12.3 points per game with Allen Wilson adding 8.0 points per game.

The Defender men are 9-4 overall and 5-4 in the GPAC. Dordt’s wins in league play are over Briar Cliff, Midland, Doane, Hastings and Northwestern and the losses are to Dakota Wesleyan, Concordia, Morningside and Jamestown.

Dordt converts 49.5 percent of its field goals while outscoring teams 81.8-75.5 and outrebound teams 38.8-35.5. Opponents make 43.3 percent of their field goals and the Defenders have converted 99 three-point shots.

Garrett Franken scores 15.8 points per game with 7.8 rebounds and he hands out just over 2.5 assists per game. Jesse Jansma scores 15.5 points per game with a team high 3.9 assists per game and he is making 47.6 percent of his field goals. Jacob Vis is scoring 11.7 points per game with 6.8 rebounds and he is making 67.5 percent of his field goal tries and has a team high 15 blocked shots. Cade Bleeker adds 11.1 points per game and Bryce Coppock is averaging 7.9. Ben Gesink is averaging 6.0 points per game while Jansma has made 23 three-point shots while Bleeker and Coppock have 20 and 19 respectively.

Dordt will be back at home on Saturday, January 2 when it faces Midland.
