Iowa’s Nedved Contributes At The Plate And On The Mound

Iowa City, Iowa — Dylan Nedved is excelling as a two way player for the Iowa baseball team.

The redshirt junior is hitting .305 for the Hawkeyes while also posting five saves and an earned run average of 1.56 on the mound. He was six of seven at the plate in Sunday’s doubleheader sweep of Minnesota and earned the save in a 6-1 win.

The Hawkeyes have won eight of their last nine and take a 12-9 record on the road to Rutgers this weekend.

Nedved had a big Sunday at the plate against Minnesota by going six of seven in the doubleheader.

That’s Iowa coach Rick Heller who says being a two way player takes a lot of added work.

Heller says Nedved is one of the few who can do it because the pitching comes easy.
