Orange City, Iowa — Justin Faber and Justin Kamstra both have signed letters of intent to continue their football careers at Northwestern College next year.
Faber is a 5’11”, 190-pound linebacker and fullback who played three years for Western Christian High School. Faber was a first team all-district selection after posting 83 tackles, two interceptions and one sack last season. He returned one interception for a touchdown and also totaled 12 catches and one touchdown on offense. Faber helped lead his team to a state playoff berth and a 6-6 record. Faber is a member of the National Honor Society and is the son of Jim and Melinda.
“Justin is another great addition to the Red Raider football program from Western Christian,” commented head coach Kyle Achterhoff. “He was a tremendous playmaker in the middle of their defense and is a gifted athlete. Justin is a playmaker and has a real nose for the football.”
Kamstra is a 5’10” place kicker who played two years for Western Christian High School. Kamstra earned all-conference and all-district honors after converting 57-of-59 extra points and 8-of-11 field goal attempts the last two years. He helped lead the Wolfpack to the state playoffs the last two years. Kamstra plans to major in psychology at Northwestern and is the son of Bradley and Cynthia.
“Justin is a very good kicker who is passionate about being the best he can possibly be,” commented head coach Kyle Achterhoff. “We are excited about his strong leg and his competitiveness. We are pleased that Justin has decided to join the Red Raider football program.”
