The Sheldon Area Unity Meal will be Monday, December 15th, at Living Water Community Church from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend and take home a bag of groceries after the meal.

The Cherokee Regional Medial Center will be hosting a town hall event Monday, December 15th, for community members wanting more information about the clinic transition process and how to access health care services. This transparent event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Primghar Community Building located at 215 1st Street SE in Primghar. Join the Sheldon Public Library Tuesdays for Toddler Time. This event is designed for 1- to early 3-year-olds and their caregivers. You and the library will share books, songs, fingerplays, felt boards, whole body movement and more. Siblings are also welcome. This event starts at 10:30 a.m. and lasts for 20 to 30 mintues, followed by playtime.

The Sheldon Christian School will have a Christmas Concert called "Signs of Christmas" Tuesday, December 16th. Come and celebrate the birth of Jesus with preschool to eight-grade students, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Living Water Community Church. |

For ages 12-18: Preventionist Specialist, Cheryl, from the nonprofit, Rosecrance, will be coming to teach 6th-12th graders the risks of gambling, gaming, and other activities. She will share about what is happening in the gaming/gambling industry to entice players and why some are becoming dependent (addicted) to their screens and/or games. She will provide a presentation and a balloon activity for the students to participate in. Snacks and beverages will be provided. |

Seniors, come to the Prairie Woods Nature Center Thursday, December 18th, for Senior Environmental Learning and Fellowship (SELF). Join our O’Brien County Naturalist, Kylie Holdorf. Each month, there will be a 45-minute presentation to teach about a topic fitting into this year’s theme: Creature Feature. There will be coffee and tea for all participants! |

The Sheldon Chamber & Development Corporation reminds the public of further Christmas festivities this Saturday. At 10:30 a.m. Krull Cinema will feature a free showing of National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, with pop and popcorn available for just $2! The City of Sheldon reminds the public that winter Fireworks are only allowed between the hours of noon of New Year’s Eve, December 31 and 12:30 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Therefore, the firework window for New Year’s Eve is now 12 hours and just a half hour on New Year’s Day. |

The Everly Dance is on Saturday, January 3rd at the Hap Kettleson Community Center in Everly, Iowa. Doors open at 6:15 p.m., and the dancing runs from 7:00 to 10:30 with live music from Still Cruizin. Put on your dancing shoes and enjoy a fun, social evening on the dance floor.
