Conquering Cancer 4 O'Brien County will have a Pizza Ranch Tip Night at the Sheldon Pizza Ranch Monday, March 16th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tips and 10 percent of sales will go to supporting individuals suffering from cancer in O'Brien County. The Sheldon Area Unity Meal will be at Living Water Community Church Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend and take home a bag of groceries after the meal.
The Sheldon Public Library is hosting an Evening Book Club on Monday, March 16 at 6:30 p.m. This month’s book is Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen. Copies are available at the library. For ages 16+. |

The Wild Child Nature Series will be held March 18 at Prairie Woods Nature Center, with sessions at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 1:00 p.m. This one‑hour, nature‑based experience is designed for children ages 2 through 5 and encourages exploring, moving, playing, and using their senses. SCDC 33rd Annual Golden Egg Hunt
The Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation will host the 33rd Annual Golden Egg Hunt from March 27th through April 3rd, or until the egg is found, with daily clues available at participating Sheldon businesses. Clues will be posted at 10 a.m. each day, Monday through Friday, at the listed businesses. No clues are given on Saturdays or Sundays, and clues are not provided by phone or social media. Bookmarks Challenge at the Sheldon Public Library
The Sheldon Public Library will begin its Bookmarks Challenge on Wednesday, April 1st at 3:45 p.m. for students in grades K-12. Participants may design a bookmark using themes of books, reading, “Plant a Seed, Read,” or favorite book characters. Bookmarks must be 7" x 2.5", created on printer paper, and submitted to the library by 5:30 p.m. on April 24th with the student’s name, grade, and phone number on the back.
