Hull, Iowa — A Hull man was arrested after an accident early Thursday morning in Hull.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at about 12:05 am on Thursday, September 24th, 22-year-old Jesse Eppinga of Hull was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on Highway 18. According to the report, Eppinga lost control of his vehicle, crossed the westbound lane and struck Iowa Department of Transportation on the north side of the roadway.
No injuries were reported.
Upon further investigation, deputies suspected that Eppinga was under the influence of alcohol.
Eppinga was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and cited for failing to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
The Silverado received $10,000 damage.
