Hospers, Iowa — A man living in Worthington has been charged with identity theft.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Thursday morning, June 18, their deputies arrested 38-year-old Rey Torres‐Romero of Worthington.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation into a complaint from someone reporting that Torres was using another person’s identity.
Upon further investigation, deputies believe Torres‐Romero illegally used a counterfeit identification card to
gain employment in Hospers.
Torres‐Romero was arrested and charged with forgery and identity theft.
